Animals

I died today. You got tired of me and took me to the shelter. They were overcrowded and I drew an unlucky number. I am in a black plastic bag in a landfill now. Some other puppy will get the barely used leash you left. My collar was dirty and too small, but the lady took it off before she sent me to the Rainbow Bridge. Would I still be at home if I hadn't chewed your shoe? I didn't know what it was, but it was leather, and it was on the floor. I was just playing. You forgot to get puppy toys. Would I still be at home if I had been housebroken? Rubbing my nose in what I did only made me ashamed that I had to go at all. There are books and obedience teachers that would have taught you how to teach me to go to the door. Would I still be at home if I hadn't brought fleas into the house? Without anti-flea medicine, I couldn't get them off of me after you left me in the yard for days. Would I still be at home if I hadn't barked? I was only saying, "I'm scared, I'm lonely, I'm here, I'm here! I want to be your best friend". Would I still be at home if I had made you happy? Hitting me didn't make me learn how. Would I still be at home if you had taken the time to care for and to teach manners to me? You didn't pay attention to me after the first week or so, but I spent all my time waiting for you to love me. I died today. I still loved you unconditionally.. the dog no one wanted.

Hi,

I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Rocky and the Kitten Below is my baby sister Emma.

The above story was written about a dog and could have been any dog even me.

It really did almost happen to my little sister Emma though.

Luckily our mom who founded Hopeful Survivors found her about 20 minutes before they were going to put her to sleep permanently. Our mom stumbled across her by accident just in time and now we are one very happy family!

Hi,

My name is Emma and this is a photo of me that my mom took the day she rescued me and brought me to my forever home. I was 7 weeks old and I almost died that day. Now I have a wonderful happy forever family. The story above was almost my fate but my forever mom just happen to be in the right place at the right time!

I am one of the lucky ones, but my forever family say's they are the lucky one's to have me!

I just wanted to let you know that since Emma became part of our family at 7 weeks old she had done pretty well adjusting and growing. She is now about 9 months now our mom said and I'd say she likes it here and we all love having her here…

pssst, don't tell Emma I said that, OK?

Hi,

My name is Emma and I love my forever home here, mostly because I know they love me unconditionally like I love them. I do want to say, not funny mom for taking my picture when I was just resting my eye's for a moment. Someone has to guard the place and I can't leave that job to the dogs. :)

Hi,

My name is Maggie and I was born on 11/11/11.

My mom just rescued me recently and I am the newest member of this family.

I really do like having my older brother Rocky and my older sister Emma. Our mom already got me something she called "Micro Chipped" just like Rocky and Emma so I can be found if I ever get lost. I really love my forever home and family.

My mom said she will take more photo's of me as I get bigger and as she said

"if I ever keep still enough." :)
